My One in a Minion

Halloween is my favorite holiday!  Though I don't always go all out with the traditions such as pumpkin carving and decorating, I love dressing up.  I don't usually buy costumes but instead, I like putting things together from what I already have along with a few new pieces.  It's not necessarily about being exact, but being creative.

This year I dressed Ian as a minion from Despicable Me and we (me, my mom and one of Ian's ninangs) dressed to match the theme.  I initially planned on dressing Ian up as a doctor to match his BMW buggy, but a week before Halloween, I thought it'd be much cuter and fun if we did Despicable Me.

Hat: Target Long Sleeve: Old Navy
Overalls: OshKosh (old) Minion Logo: Cut felt and hand sewn

 Grandma as Dr. Nefario
Ninang as Agnes
Ian as Phil
Mama as Gru

I love that my mom dressed up with us.  We put that outfit together the same day because she decided to join us last minute.  I was adamant on her dressing up if she was going to come and she was actually down and excited.  I couldn't help but laugh the whole time.

Ian also had his first taste of candy.  Despite Ian's big belly, I try to run a tight ship when it comes to his diet.  But of course, his grandparents spoil him and sneak him unapproved food..which really frustrates me.  Ian hasn't had chocolate yet, but today, I let him have a lollipop.  He loved it and cried when I took it away because I was scared he'd bite it and choke.

At night, I got to go out with a few girl friends.  It was really last minute but I managed to pull together a bride outfit.  My thing was..Halloween is the only time I'll ever be a bride. Aaannd of course, it rained on my "wedding day" which almost made us stay in.
Funny thing was that that night ended up being my "bachelorette party."  I don't know how I didn't see that coming but it was pretty fun. #sorrynotsorry but I'll keep those pictures private ;)

Hope you all had a SPOOKtacular Halloween!
