I'm Melissa, and that handsome fella is Ian. I'm a single mom raising my little dance partner in Southern California. We love music, dancing, eating, dressing up and exploring.
I created this blog in the summer of 2013, eager to document my life as a new mom-to-be. I hesitated on posting because I wanted to keep the name of my son a surprise until he arrived. Ever since I was able to introduce Ian to the world, maintaining this blog fell down the priority list. (Documenting through Instagram and Facebook was the quickest and more feasible option.) Now that I've given myself 6 months to adjust and Ian is kind enough to give me THREE hours of sleep at a time, I thought, "Hey, I can use that 'extra' hour to blog!" haha.
In all seriousness, since becoming a mom, I found that Ian influences 100% of my life. Whether it be how long I have to eat, what I should wear, what a production it is to go out for errands or the type of people I choose to have in my life, Ian has a say in it even though he has yet to speak his first word.
