So this year, we added another Halloween tradition..door/lawn decorating. Ian didn't want anything scary so he chose to decorate our door like a pumpkin. This kit is super easy. I added an orange tablecloth to make it more festive.

New Halloween Tradition
On the way home one day in SEPTEMBER, Ian said "Halloween door!" That's when I saw that a house in our neighborhood decked their front door/patio with Halloween decorations. As you know, I'm all about Halloween, but time already flies by so quickly, I was sad to see decorations up so early.
So this year, we added another Halloween tradition..door/lawn decorating. Ian didn't want anything scary so he chose to decorate our door like a pumpkin. This kit is super easy. I added an orange tablecloth to make it more festive.

Pumpkin Painting
Continuing with our Halloween traditions, here's this year's pumpkin painting. Ian chose Mickey, who he called "Count Mickula." Since our Chase pumpkin rot well before it could make it to Halloween, this one served as a fitting replacement.

Carving Party
Last year, we realized we were unprepared for our 1st pumpkin carving. We didn't have the best tools and night hit while we worked. Funny enough, this year, we added more elements aaaaannnddd therefore underestimated everything again..haha! Nonetheless, it was a good time with family/friends and the kids liked their pumpkins.

DIY Halloween Cookies
It's our favorite time of the year again! You know we had to come back to the blog to share this year's Halloween traditions. We're starting off with some spooky treats.
Last year we cooked up some dirty worm cupcakes. This year, we're baking funky cookie monsters! I got this easy to make kit from our beloved Target. It's called the "Jeepers Creepers Premium Cookie Mix" from Duff Goldman at Charm City Cakes. It comes with googly eyes and food coloring.
