Ian's LOVES Mickey Mouse
so it was only fitting that we throw a Clubhouse themed party.
Mickey Mouse Cake by Emilyn Chin of LoveemSweet
Emilyn creates fabulous custom cakes.
When I first had her do my baby shower cake,
I was skeptical at how accurate it would be to my sketch, but it was to a T.
Emilyn did it again and amazed me by creating a cake just as I envisioned for Ian 1st.

Special Thanks to my friend, Janine
for getting me started on these Oreo Mickeys giveaways.
After a few test runs, I turned into a Mickey factory...good times :)
Janine also created Ian's Smash Cake.
Ice Cream Buffet on a day that nearly reached 100 degrees...

No party is complete without a photo station!
I had this background custom sewn to match his invitation.
I plan on using it as a latag, picnic/beach blanket after.
My little man's birthday wear isn't complete without Mickey ears!
The last picture was taken while we were singing Happy Birthday to Ian.
2 weeks before his actual birthday we were singing him
Happy Birthday so he'd recognize the song.
I promise he loved it...smiling, dancing, moving his arms up and down.

He even holds out 1 with his index finger when you ask "How old are you?" after.
I guess having a huge audience in front of him got him nervous/shy.
I can't believe the day has come and gone.
Ian is a toddler now..
wish me good luck as we near his "terrible 2s!"
